1. LILLIAN MADISON⁷ MILAM (JOHN MADISON⁶, JEHU LEAKE⁵, JOHN "JACKEY"⁴, JOHN³, JOHN², PATRIARCH FATHER¹) was born August 15, 1889 in Cleburne, Texas, and died September 06, 1981 in Amarillo, Texas.  She married FINIS CHRISTOPHER MOTHERSHEAD, SR. 1912. He was born November 13, 1887, and died March 12, 1972 in Amarillo, Texas.

"Cleburne is where my grandmother grew up. Her father had a general store there, I believe. She married my grandfather there and then they settled in nearby Lillian, Texas where my grandfather owned a drugstore-he was a pharmacist. My father was born in Cleburne at his grandparent's home and then he lived with his parents in Lillian for a time, My grandfather, Finis Christopher Mothershead Sr. grew up in Lillian, raised by his maternal grandparents (Angel or Angell family) after his mother died, having previously been divorced from his father."

She traced her Sayles line back to England in the 1600's. Her earliest forbearer in this country was John Sayles whose daughter married Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island colony.
