VERA ESTELLA⁸ MILAM

(JOSEPH LAFAYETTE⁷, LUCAS COLEMAN "BEE"⁶, THOMAS FERRILL⁵, COLEMAN⁴, THOMAS³, JOHN MILAM OF² HALIFAX, VIRGINIA, UNK FATHER OF VIRGINIA¹ MILAMS) was born September 09, 1906 in Abijah Burcham Homestead, South Franklin County, Arkansas, and died March 28, 1988 in buried Lows Creek Cemetery, Lows Creek, Arkansas. 

Vera spent 20 years researching Milam family history and genealogy.  Unfortunately, she died before publishing her work.   So as to prevent the loss of Vera's extensive research and data, her niece, Wanda Wikstrom, compiled an excellent book with emphasis on Coleman Milam's descendants and the Milams of Franklin County, Arkansas.

Vera married (1) GEORGE KELLEAM PHILLIPS 1932, son of WILLIAM PHILLIPS and MARTHA CONWAY. He was born April 17, 1905 in Hartman, Arkansas.

She married (2) CLARENCE COMER GARTEN January 27, 1939, son of ALBERT GARTEN and HORNBECK. He was born January 31, 1896 in Jefferson, Iowa, and died April 08, 1940 in Fayetteville, Arkansas; buried Hennessey, Oklahoma.

She married (3) THOMAS HUMPHREY RYKER January 15, 1949 in Oxnard, California, son of THOMAS RYKER and ALMEDIA SHOEMAKER. He was born April 1902 in Newton County, Arkansas.
