He and his son Thomas signed the 1666 protest against the treatment of the King's Commissioners in Boston, and signing with them was Thomas Clark the cooper, brother of Edward Clark of Haverhill.

(Currently, it is not certain whether this Thomas Clark, cooper is the same person as Capt. Thomas Clark).
